Hi, my name is Charlene Mathlin. I was born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Grenada. I have lived here in the United States for the past 12 years. It has become my home away from home. I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), and I have been employed with Gadsden County schools as a School Psychologist since September, 2010. I am currently assigned to George Munroe Elementary, Greensboro Elementary, and West Gadsden High school. Additionally, I conduct evaluations for students suspected of having Autism prior to them entering one of our pre-k programs. I have Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Marketing from Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma. Additionally, I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and a Specialist Degree in School Psychology from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. My prior work experiences include: being a high school teacher in Grenada, serving as a School Psychologist in Manatee County, Bradenton, Florida, and being employed by Cumberland Therapy services as a contract School Psychologist in Arizona. As a School Psychologist, I have had the opportunity to work with students at all levels spanning from pre-k to high school. I have also had the opportunity to work with students with a variety of exceptionalities which include: Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I love being a School Psychologist, and I have a passion for helping children and their families. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones.
